Helping Hands That Serve

The Ladies Workshop invites you to be a part of our Tuesday mornings. We meet from 9:30 to 11:30. At 10:15 we are led in devotion by one of our ministers. The dress is casual. You can choose to work on a particular project and/or to enjoy fellowship with other sisters. After Workshop some of us go to lunch and/or make visits. Every 5th Tuesday of the month we have a pot-luck luncheon in the fellowship hall.

The Ladies Workshop participates in good works not only within the local congregation but also reaches out into the community. These good works currently include the following:

Love Bears—provided to Kennestone Hospital, the American Cancer Society and many others

Silk Corsages—made for baby and/or bridal showers; also taken to Kennestone Hospital once a year

Cancer turbans and underarm pillows—distributed to the American Cancer Society and those in need

Baby Blankets—knitted and/or crocheted for new mothers

Lap Robes—provided to those who are ill

Bed Slippers—crocheted for shut-ins

Holiday Fruit Baskets—delivered to those who are ill

Juice Baskets—decorated with silk flowers

Cards of Encouragement—written and sent each meeting

"And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works."
Hebrews 10:24
