Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that everyone is well.
We have now finished the food relief stage and are working on the rebuilding stage for the brethren who had partially and totally damaged homes. Hundreds of members lost their homes but our focus is only in the areas we work. We have coordinated with other groups to help brethren in other areas. Between the churches we work with in Bohol and Southern Leyte, 41 members lost their homes entirely and 34 members suffered partial damages. Also 2 of the church building suffered partial damages. It’s impossible to get an exact estimate of how much it will cost for everything because the prices keep changing on a daily basis but we campus almost daily for the best prices to maximize the funds. We also have 2 chainsaws to cut lumber from fallen coconut trees. The estimated cost for everything using todays prices plus 20% for inflation is $76,300. This amount is only for the rebuilding and repairs but does not include fuel for delivery or money for maintenance on the chainsaws. The homes will be 16’x16’ with concrete foundations, 1/2 the wall concrete (hollow blocks) and the remainder wood. The materials and the roof will be good quality so they can have a safe place next time there is a storm. Any amount you or your congregation could help would be a great blessing for the members. We are confident that if everyone helps what they can, God will be glorified and the members can recover. Thank you so much for your consideration.
